10X40 is a fair range to see birds at a distance. Ask in a photo shop and they advise you which ones are best and the prices that you can afford. I live in the UK and threes more people bird watching than there is eating pizzas .

Not sure how much you want to spend…but a good pair for the money are the Rangers (8×42) by Eagle Optics..they run about $275.00-$300.00. They give a very crisp, clear view and are equal to binoculars in the $500.00 range. You can find cheaper ones… but you are not going to be able to see the birds very well and not be able to see color well either..if you are going to make birdwatching a regular hobby you should at least be able to see the birds clearly..this will help you ID them better as well.
“Bird Watching” huh…. are you British by any chance? we call them Peeping Tom’s here!
You can get a fine set at Spies-R-Us
or
Peeping Tom’s-R-Us
bird watching hahahahahaaha
Try Argos and get the cheapest pair first to see if you like the hobby then if you take to it you can always improve your equipment.
I bought a pair of ‘bid up tv’ They were £7.00 and have a built in digital camera. You also get cheap pairs on ebay I bought a pair from there as well.
What’s wrong with the word “bird watching”? I don’t see anything wrong with the word. It means looking and studying birds (feathered animals that lay eggs).
I think any pair of binoculars will do. I’d get a book about birds as well, if you haven’t got one yet.
too bad
that's a long time lol
Me, I only had a pair for about 3 years
I had/ still have a pair of nike dunks that looked very cute when I got them, but are beat up now, and the sole's all worn out and the leather's split.
I did everything in them: wore them to school, walked around in them, ran the mile in P.E with them, played basketball in them in practices and games, wore them on vacation, everywhere.
Now I have shoes, but I have multiple pairs for specific purposes. I've been looking for a good deal for another pair of sneakas that look great and can do it all
Apple’s iPad will fly out of stores when it goes on sale in four weeks, and will build momentum through the back-to-school and into the holiday selling seasons, analysts said today. “I expect a surge going out the door,” said Ezra Gottheil of Technology Business Research. “There’s a group of Apple advocates that will queue up no matter what. Apple has the most effective branding in the industry, and these people think of themselves as acolytes, they do think of themselves as the ‘Mac’ in Apple’s ‘I’m a Mac’ ads.” On Friday, Apple announced that the iPad will go on sale April 3 , and that it would begin taking pre-orders for the device, which is priced starting at $499, on March 12. That news had been preceded by reports citing Peter Misek, an analyst with Canaccord Adams, who said iPad production problems would limit the number of units available at launch to just 300,000, considerably less than the 1 million many had anticipated. Wall Street analyst Brian Marshall of BroadPoint…
Could be several reasons they were tossed. I bought a similar pair last December, $100 USD, with Rossignol race bindings, used but not abused.
The ski is long and stiff for current trends in the US, also check the bindings for damage and the flex pattern of the ski. Sometimes the damage is concealed except to an expert. One my students rented a pair and when he tried to use them we found they were broken.
Flex the ski and shake it, check for sheer twist and base condition. Good luck.
I believe they make a product that 'ages' your jeans — try looking in the laundry detergent section of your local grocery store. For a 'do-it-yourself' antiquing, try a bleach and detergent solution in your washing machine and let the jeans soak in the solution for an hour or two. Don't let the machine fill up like it would for a full load so that the solution will be on the strong side. You'll need to then run them through the rinse cycle more than once to get all of the bleach solution out — use lots of COLD water to rinse. See what you come out with and then you can do it again if you want a more dramatic look or you're good to go. This would be the best to try on a pair of jeans you already have that fit well — the more worn the better because then the solution you use will take unevenly and have a more authentic look. Almost free fashion and who knows, maybe others will want you to create some specialty jeans for them!
