What brand of binoculars are good but not overly expensive?

Question by Let's Go Brewers!: What brand of binoculars are good but not overly expensive?
I want to get someone a set of binoculars for christmas, he uses them for hunting. I only want to spend about 50 dollars on them, anyone have any advice about brand or type or something? I'm thinking either Gander Mountain or Fleet Farm?

The cheapest pair at Wal-Mart will be just fine. In recent years the difference between the very best and the worse as really diminished. Tasco is always a good bet.
